Larimar, also known as "Stefilia's Stone," is a rare blue variety of mineral pectolite found only in the Dominican Republic. Its unique volcanic blue coloration is attributed to the presence of copper, distinguishing it from other pectolite varieties which are typically white or grey. Larimar's striking appearance and exclusivity have made it highly sought after in the jewelry industry, where it is often cut and polished for use in rings, pendants, and earrings.
